Iceland most definitely has a magical feel. When I arrived and was heading from the airport, around 4pm in the afternoon, the late and low light gave the somewhat sparse landscape a sort of glow. But I have to admit, that even after spending 4 days shooting in the midst of this contrasting wilderness, I feel very much like I have only just scraped the surface photographically and was left aching for more. The weather was quite brutal, especially in the last 2 days, but the landscape a photographers dream.
The highlight was most definitely day 1 with the snow capped mountains and impassable roads opening us up to frozen lakes and peeping sunlight behind the vast mountains and rocks.
I wanted to capture emotion, but I think I might have got more motion at the end of the day...but I'll let you see for yourselves with the portfolio being worked on currently and available within the coming week.
