Study in photography

I have been doing quite a bit of researching, and thinking over the last couple of months as to how I can progress my photography further in 2010. One of the things I have been pondering is whether to take on some further studies in the field.

I would dearly love to take off a year and do a full-time certificate, but time, money and 'being sensible' has lead me down a different path, but one I am still excited about.

I have just enrolled in a course through the Open University in Australia, a Bachelor of Communications. This study option will enable me to study subjects as I wish (so part-time initially) and across countries, so Australia and UK.
Primarily it will hopefully give me some new skills to be able to work in the Communications field - the course has streams in Media Communications, Public Relations and Journalism.
The added bonus is that the recommended first 8 units include 3 electives and there are 4 photography subjects to choose from.
So, commencing March 2010 I will be studying an 'Introduction to Photography', 13 weeks. April/May could be a busy few months if my travel plans also pan out. Bring it on I say!
